FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to schedule an appointment to tour Sand Rock Farm?     Yes, tours are by appointment only. Sand Rock Farm is a  private, gated property. Please contact reservations@sandrockfarm.com to schedule a tour.

How do I book Sand Rock Farm for my event and what are the deposit and payment policies?     A 30% non-refundable deposit will secure your event date.  The remaining balance is due one month prior to your event.  Price includes a 3% discount for cash or check payments. 3% is added to payments made with credit card.

Do you offer off-peak/mid-week events and pricing?     We book a limited number of events each year, all of which are priced at the same rate, although, there is a price break for events of 40 or fewer guests and for non-amplified events of fewer than 60 guests. Mid-week is available only to elopements, vow renewals and non-amplified events.

What is the maximum amount of guests allowed at Sand Rock Farm?     A maximum of 120 guests are allowed.

Can I bring in any of my own vendors?     The Sand Rock Farm team of seasoned professionals love working together to create seamless, beautiful events for their clients. Catering/rentals, florals, deejay and event planning are provided by our preferred vendors and they all work with you to customize their services. You will bring in your own photographers, videographers, hair and makeup vendors. All vendors must be licensed and insured professionals. Your wedding planner will provide you with a list of preferred vendors for wedding services not included in our packages or your may bring your own for these other services.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?     Yes! You will bring in all of your own alcohol at no additional charge nor corkage fee, liquor included. The caterer is able to provide the other bar supplies including non-alcoholic beverages, ice, standard mixers, specialty mixers and garnishes. 

When do we have access to the venue?     Visits to Sand Rock Farm for planning purposes are okay when scheduled in advance by appointment. Event access begins at 1:00pm Friday before your Saturday wedding. We encourage vendors to arrive as early as possible on event days. Please do not drop in without an appointment.

Do you allow longer and/or later events?     We do not offer any events longer than six hours in length and events must end by 9:00pm. Music must end promptly by 9:00p.m. when the event concludes. Please consider keeping the party going at Severino’s at the Seacliff Inn - a fun indoor/outdoor bar with live music on Saturday nights until midnight or later.

What music/sound is allowed for a non-amplified event?     Very light amplification is allowed only with pre-approved sound plan and only for officiant and toasts. Other sounds must be completely unplugged and any loud types of unplugged music are strictly not-allowed under the non-amplified event contract (no mariachi, no drums, no bagpiper, etc...). Pre-approved, single speaker Ipod amplification ok. Acoustic duo or trio are permitted. Non amplified music plans are due to Sand Rock Farm no later than one month prior to event.

How many rooms are there and how many guests can stay at the Bed and Breakfast?     There are five guests rooms which sleep a maximum of 18 guests (please review lodging policies on the contract):

  • The Morning Glory Room is a beautiful upstairs room featuring a queen bed, full bathroom and an in-room Jacuzzi tub with windows on two sides, tv, and WiFi.  This room sleeps two guests max.
  • The Honeycomb Suite is a large, romantic retreat, featuring a queen bed and a double sofa bed a recessed Jacuzzi tub, a full bathroom and windows on three sides. Wifi, tv, sleeps up to four guests max.
  • Eva’s Garden is a cozy, private room upstairs with a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, a queen bed and windows overlooking the garden and herb garden.Wifi, tv, sleeps two guests max.
  • The Sun Porch Suite is a downstairs room with a king sized bed, a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and an adjoining sun porch room with a queen futon. Wifi, tv, sleeps four guests max.
  • The Hidden Garden Suite is the largest room and features two queen beds, a full bath and an outdoor Jacuzzi outside. Hidden Garden has no direct indoor access to the main house, but a sitting area in the garden just outside the back door. This room is used as the bridal suite because of the larger size, ample natural light for photography, beautiful grid windows overlooking the landscape on three sides, and quick access to The Redwood Grove. This room has Wifi, tv. Sleeps 4 guests.

Are dogs allowed?    Dogs are permitted for in their wedding ceremonies and events, but not be left unattended inside the B & B. For lodging, a maximum of two dogs are allowed on property at any time, with pre-approval, for additional fees of $65 per pet, and only in the Hidden Garden or Sun Porch Suite. Pet owners are required to sign a pet agreement 30 days prior to event date and provide a credit card for deposit. Dogs are not allowed indoors in the common areas or other guest rooms. Pets may not be left unattended in guest rooms. Pet owners are responsible for removing pet waste and for any damage caused by their pets.

Is smoking allowed?     Smoking is only allowed in one outdoor area on property near the event areas.  Smoking is not allowed in or near the bed and breakfast.

Is event insurance required?     All events must provide a certificate of general liability insurance specifying “host liquor liability” and naming Sand Rock Farm Bed and Breakfast as additionally insured. Insurance must be in the amount of $2 million aggregate and $1 million each occurrence and must be received at least 7 days prior to event. Cost is about $185 and available online on many sites such as www.wedsafe.com.

What other deposits are required?     A $1,000 refundable damage/loss deposit is required and due with final payment. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your event less any costs to replace or repair lost or damaged equipment or property as a result of clients’ or clients’ guests’ actions. Incidents of vomit on carpeting or upholstery and other stains that require professional cleaning will be deducted from the deposit.  Preferred vendors will have their own contracts, deposit and payment requirements.
